I'm alive!!

Okay I'm really sorry for the freak out! I thought I would have time to write you all but the city buses here are not all that reliable and the temple is a lil far away so we only had time to buy food and then jet to our lessons! I'm sorry!! But this week was way good as well as the last! Our investigators aren't progressing so we decided to drop them and find new ones! We visited an old investigator and he wants to come to church again and his aunt is now living with him and she loves the lessons we have with them so far! haha we had a lesson a lesson of the Law of Chastity and she was lovin it! I don't think Ive ever taught someone so excited about the Law of Chastity! haha But...bueno! :)

Today I finished the Book of Mormon in Spanish!! :) I read it all the way through! Its amazing how fast I have learned Spanish! I can understand the people almost 100 % and I can speak as well and understand the scriptures! I am so grateful for the help of the Lord. :)

OH! Soo last week I was in the hospital for my physical therapy for my knee (which is much better thanks!! ) and then something really weird happened and my mind blanked and my left side went all numb. They took me to the ER and I had to stay in the hospital for a day and night to do studies...yeah..but now I'm great!! Nothins wrong just a freak thing. Kinda funny though! I sure did catch up on my sleep! That's a plus right?

I have been praying and praying and praying for moisture for the farm and mountains so I am so glad to hear that its been snowing!!! :) That's so awesome! Heavenly Father really does know our needs! I read in Helaman 11:13, 17 and thought of you guys! :)

I'm sorry to hear that the super bowl wasn't that exciting..I hope the next one is better and I am sad that I missed the endowment of Jess. That is so great that you guys could be together in the temple and I know that one day we will all be together in the temple one day! :)

A Week of Growth.

Wow.  Sounds like this week was great for everyone! And thanks for more letters today! :) haha I love hearing about all the little things that happen in your lives because you are all so important to me. I keep praying for snow or rain or some type of moisture for the farm and the mountains. I will keep it up. I know that Heavenly Father listens to prayers and is just waiting for when the time is right.  Because we all know that nothing is on our time. 

 

Well one prayer of mine that was answered this week was Divisions! It was so amazing. Ive really been struggling with trying to teach Hermana Rivera the right way to do things so that she can grow and be prepared to teach by the end of her training. Ive been praying and praying and I got a call this week that we would have Divisions. I learned so stinkin much!! I am so grateful for Hermana Cortez and all that she taight me! The days after divisions we put our learning to the test and have so much more success! It was awesome! 

 

So im not sure if you all know but I've been having problems with my knee for about 2 months now and I finally went to the doctor. I found out that the cartlidge between my bones in my knee has gotten really thin and that my bones are rubbing together. Ive been doing Physical Therapy every day and so I havent seen much improvement but I know that itll get better soon! If you could all keep me in your prayers hat would be awesome! 

 

Its still super hot here!!! But this month and February are the hottest months and then it should get better! I cannot wait. I am so ready for some cold and to not be contantly sweating. Oh to see the day..I'm not sure if thats a phrase in English..I cant quite remember...

 

Okay. Theres a Mormon Message that I want you all to look up and watch! Its so awesome! Its called An Extraordinary Gift! I love it!

5 Months!!

I cant believe that its been 5 months! Well actually counting the weeks, 5.5 months. But who's counting?? not me! haha well this week weather wise was pretty nice! We had one day where it was actually kinda cold! It was nuts! But today its right back to normal. Tons of people are sick here cuz of the dramatic weather changes and the water is real bad right now! But luckily we have filtered water so I'm still as healthy as can be! I am so glad that we are half way done with the hottest month in the whole year here! Its weird to think that all of you are suffering in the cold and me in the heat! Enjoy it! Enjoy the heating as well cuz no one has that here! And they only have air conditioning in one room in their houses! The others are like ovens all day long! Man did I take home for granted.

This week missionary wise was better than the week before. This area that I'm in is one of the hardest in all of the mission because its one of the richest and we all know that the rich are not the humble ones! haha but the aork is still mving along! Hermana Rivera is still doing as great as ever! WE are getting to know each other more and more every day and she is so awesome! Her being catholic before and a convert works wonders! It is so diferent than with 2 blondes! haha

News of the week!! I finally got a camera!!!! POR FIN!!! (finally) I have taken a few pictures and I will try to send some today! :) Youre all very welcome! haha it was so hard to find! And I got the last one that was on a Christmas sale! Lucky me!

Something that Ive really realized in the week is the love that Heavenly Father has for us! We are His children and everything that He has given us is for our benefit! Like the Plan of Salvation, Families, homes, the Gospel, a Prophet. I love Him so much and it is so awesome being able to feel the love that He has for me and for all fo the poeople here!

I love you all so much and hope to recieve more letters next week......hint hint.....but I still love you tons! :) Enjoy every moment of every day in the things that matter most!

Feliz Ano Nuevo!!

Happy 2014!! I feel like I haven't talked to you since last year!! haha ;) I know that this year is gonna be one filled with happiness and blessings. I am very grateful that I will be spending the whole year in Paraguay! Its crazy! Time is just flying and I cant believe I've already been gone for 5 months! Nuts!! I hope you all have made goals for this year cuz I know that its gonna be a good one! :)

Well this week at first was a hard as the week before, but now that all the festivities are over, its tons better!! Its crazy how much of a deference it makes! During Christmas and New years we seriously had NO investigators and now we have 4! (ones that are actually progressing) its crazy. And I like it a lot better! I don't have much to say for this week! I am excited for this next week when the whole week can be awesome! 

 

My companion is still doing great! We get along better each and every day. 

She is already a great teacher so that makes things really nice. Shes not even struggling with being sad and its mind boggling to me! haha But she is great and helping me with Spanish a ton!! I am very grateful for that! 

 

I am going to buy a camera today and so I will be able to send you guys more pictures!! Finally! I'm sorry, i have really slacked on the picture thing!

Feliz Navidad!!!

Hola mi familia!! 

 

I LOVED talking to you all!! Well almost all of you! You are all so amazing and the best family that anyone could ask for! I was scared that I would be really sad afterwards but I was actually doing pretty good! That is definitely a tender mercy from the Lord. And it helps that I have the resposibility of being an example to my comp and so that helps me be happy and in a better mood to show her how awesome the mission is! :) But I am very glad that Christmas is over! Just one more to go! And I cant wait til the festivals are over so that these people will be back to their normal selves! Missionary work is much easier when people aren't drunk. haha Gotta love em! Well cleaning the temple was such an amazing experience and I wish I could do it every week! I felt the Spirit so strong and I cant wait to do a session! Woo! Then on Friday we had a Mission Activity and it was so awesome!! A nice break, and I got to see Hermana Rios and some of the people from the MTC! We played volleyball, soccer, water volley, an obstacle course and then climbed Cerro Lambare! It was a blast but man did I get burnt!! This week with missionary work has been rough but this is the Lord's work and nothing is imposible. So I know that it will get better any day now! But Angelica did say somwthing really awesome is class on SUnday. The teacher asked her to tell her story of meeting the missionaries and she said something that I didnt even know! She said that before she met us, she considered herself Atheist because she just wasnt sure if God exists. But then in the first lesson with us, she said that she just knew that He is there. :) I had no idea! I know that as missionaries we are led my the Holy Ghost to the people that are prepared! 

 

Okay random thing. Here, the don't have normal yogurt..its in bags and its super runny! I actually really like it now and then also milk is only in bags or boxes...haha kinda different but hey! Its South America and its awesome! Also my spanish is improving so much!! It gets harder and harder to speak in English every day and I was talking to my zone leader last night and he thought that I was Hermana Rivera! He said that my accent is very good! So I'm getting better! It helps that I dont speak any English at all!

Best Christmas Present Ever.

Quickie!

  Well this is gonna be a quick one cuz I only have like 10 minutes to write you since I get top skype you all on Wednesday!!!!!!!!! I'm only a lil excited! haha

  Well this past week has been nuts! Cambios were on Tuesday and guess what? I'm training!! Yeah that basically means I'm dying cuz I have no clue what I'm doing here. I had no clue how much I relied on Hermana Rios. Its so hard to be in charge of someone that doesn't know any of the rules or our area or our investigators so I basically have to do everything right now. But shes learning quick and shes from El Salvador so her Spanish is awesome! I already feel like I can talk and understand a ton more!! Her name is Hermana Rivera.

 

But yeah Ill explain more and tell stories on Wednesday!! I'm really sad that we can only talk for 40 minutes but I guess that's better than nothin right?? 

 

One more thing, I'm super excited cuz we get to go to the temple today and clean it!!!! YAY!! I'm stoked!!
